Dick Van Straalen is one of australian shapers among the most creative and innovative. An excellent surfer, he started with shape your own boards as a teenager, on the northern beaches of Sydney in the 1960s. It was upon moving to Burleigh Heads that he began shaping under his own label in the 70's and his career took off.
