Dick Brewer's designs have been interpreted, modified and often copied by shapers on all coasts and decades since the 1960's. He has mentored, taught and inspired the world's best shapers. Today, its rails and rockers are most likely the origin of the surfboard you ride. Dick is a true legend whose work will go down in the history of surfing and shaping .

Dick Brewer left California for Hawaii in 1960 and never returned home. He stayed on the North Shore to conquer Waimea Bay, Sunset Beach and Pipeline, with big wave pioneers Greg Noll, Peter Cole and Eddie Aikau among others. His talent as a surfer has eclipsed his gift as a shaper/designer.

Dick Brewer designed and shaped for the best shapers of the time: Hobie Alter, Bing Copeland, Rich Harbor and other shaping greats. At Bing, its emblematic Pipelining became the fulcrum of the "Mini-gun" and paved the way for the shortboard revolution.
