Description
Designed by Skip Frye in 1966 for his "G&S Signature" model, this 66 Special embodies the characteristic improvements and performance gains of the mid-60s. It is aimed at intermediate to advanced surfers looking for a versatile and high-performance board, capable of executing more aggressive turns from the back while offering excellent control from the front third, whether trimming or nose-riding. Ideal for a variety of spots and conditions, from small waves to waves up to 1.50m. It features a balanced outline with a semi-rounded nose, a wide point located behind the center, and a slight "hip" towards the tail for easier turns. The rails are 50/50 type and thin out towards the back for increased sensitivity. The bottom goes from a flat shape to a rolled Vee at the tail. The rocker is regular and balanced to ensure versatile performance.
